Description

The Council for Geoscience (CGS) invites university students to apply for a full-time bursary for the 2025 academic year. The objective of this bursary is to create, enhance, and support expertise in geosciences and related technical fields.

Responsibilities

• Maintain good academic standing throughout the study period
• Participate in vocational work as required by the CGS during and/or after studies
• Conduct research and practical work relevant to the chosen field of study
• Represent the Council for Geoscience in a professional manner during funded studies and work-back obligations
• Submit academic reports and transcripts to CGS as part of progress monitoring

Qualifications

• Must be a South African citizen
• Must not be employed and should be available for vocational work during studies and work-back upon completion if required
• Must be enrolled full-time at a South African institution of higher learning for the 2025 academic year
• For students currently at an institution, all previous modules/semesters must have been passed
