Description

The Motsepe Foundation Bursary is aimed at supporting talented and financially deserving South African students who wish to pursue higher education. The foundation provides funding to help cover the cost of tuition, registration fees, prescribed learning materials, accommodation, and a stipend. The goal is to empower young people through education and contribute to the economic development of South Africa.

Responsibilities

• Maintain satisfactory academic performance throughout the duration of the bursary
• Submit academic progress reports and results to the Motsepe Foundation at required intervals
• Participate in Motsepe Foundation leadership and development programs when invited
• Represent the Motsepe Foundation positively in both academic and community spaces
• Commit to giving back to their community through voluntary or mentorship activities

Qualifications

• Be a South African citizen
• Be currently in Grade 12 (Matric) or have completed Matric
• Intend to study or be studying at a recognized South African tertiary institution (university or university of technology)
• Demonstrate strong academic performance, especially in Mathematics, Physical Science, and other relevant subjects (depending on field of study)
• Require financial assistance (proof of household income required)
• Show potential for leadership and a commitment to community development
