Description

Alfeco Holdings, a leading South African integrated metals company with divisions including Veer Aluminum, Pioneer Metals, Veer Energy, and Veer Steel Mills, is offering bursary opportunities for the 2026 academic year. The bursaries aim to support financially needy, academically strong, and self-motivated students pursuing studies in key disciplines critical to the metals and engineering industry.

Responsibilities

• Maintain satisfactory academic performance throughout the duration of their studies
• Submit academic progress reports or transcripts when requested by Alfeco Holdings
• Uphold the values and conduct expected of a representative of Alfeco Holdings
• Participate in vacation work or practical training at Alfeco divisions, if required
• Commit to completing their studies within the minimum prescribed time
• Provide feedback or participate in surveys to help Alfeco improve its bursary support programme

Qualifications

• Must have completed Matric
• Must be studying or enrolled at a recognised and accredited tertiary institution in South Africa
• Students with disabilities are welcome to apply
• Must be studying or enrolled to study towards a qualification in one of: Chemical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Draughting and Technical Design, Electrical Engineering, Environmental Management, Finance, Human Resources Management, Mechanical Engineering, Metallurgical Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Structural Engineering, Workplace Safety Management
