Description

The Thuthuka Bursary is intended solely for students aspiring to become Chartered Accountants. Applying does not guarantee funding, and successful candidates must sign contracts with both TEUF and NSFAS. The bursary does not cover existing debts. Selection is based on academic performance, NBT results, and financial need assessed by NSFAS. The application is for the 2026 academic year and will be considered incomplete if the consent form is unsigned or required documents are missing. All red-marked fields are mandatory, and the application must be submitted by clicking “SUBMIT.”

Responsibilities

  • Pass all courses and maintain good academic performance
  • Study a SAICA-accredited BCom Accounting degree that leads to becoming a Chartered Accountant
  • Attend all academic support programs, tutorials, and mentorship sessions provided by Thuthuka
  • Write and pass the National Benchmark Test (NBT) and any other assessments required by the program

Qualifications

  • Currently in Grade 12 or already completed Grade 12
  • Strong academic performance, especially in Mathematics (not Maths Literacy)
  • Minimum level 5 (60–69%) or higher in Mathematics and other relevant subjects
  • Must pass the National Benchmark Test (NBT)
