PwC’s Actuarial, Risk and Quants (ARQ) team assists clients worldwide with critical business issues. This bursary offers a flexible and dynamic work environment with exposure to a global network of actuarial experts. You will work with a young, driven, supportive team on a variety of projects across industries including life insurance, short-term insurance, banking, employee benefits, and analytics. The programme provides excellent mentorship, stretch assignments, and international exposure early in your career.

Responsibilities

  • Maintaining strong academic performance
  • Participating in training and development programmes
  • Potentially undertaking vacation work or work-integrated learning

Qualifications

  • Students in their penultimate year of study towards an Actuarial Science, Quantitative Finance, or Data Science degree at a South African tertiary institution
  • Must have the intention of doing an honours degree (or equivalent) in 2026
  • Candidates should demonstrate the capabilities of the PwC Professional global leadership development framework, including the ability to inspire, empower, evolve, champion quality, build with a business mindset, and deliver distinctive client experiences
