Data Analyst (Collections MI Reporting Analyst)

Description

To support the Collections team by ensuring accurate and timely reporting, documenting processes, managing exception reports, validating strategy effectiveness post-deployment, and enabling teams to interpret and act on Management Information (MI) outputs. The role also involves change management for new reports and handling ad-hoc reporting requests to support decision-making.

Responsibilities

  • Reporting & Data Management: Assist in developing and maintaining collections performance reports and dashboards; ensure data accuracy and validate report logic
  • Process Documentation: Document end-to-end reporting processes and maintain a central repository for audit purposes
  • Exception Report Management: Identify, investigate, and resolve anomalies in reporting outputs
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Liaise with MI, Credit Risk, and Operations teams to ensure reporting meets business needs
  • Upskilling & Change Management: Train teams on interpreting MI reports and lead change management for new report rollouts
  • Ad Hoc Reporting: Respond to custom data requests with quick turnaround while maintaining integrity
  • Strategy Validation: Assess the performance of deployed strategies in Debt Manager and map MI requirements for new strategies

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Informatics, Finance, Mathematics, or a related field (Preferred); Advanced Diplomas/National 1st Degrees are essential
  • Experience: 2–4 years of experience in MI reporting, data analysis, or collections analytics
  • Technical Skills:
  • Strong proficiency in SQL, SAS, Excel, and reporting tools (eg, Power BI, Tableau)
  • Experience in documenting, reporting processes, and managing exceptions is essential
  • Exposure to Debt Manager (DM) or similar collections systems is advantageous
