Shell offers bursaries to young South Africans for the 2026 academic year as part of its commitment to education and skills development. The bursary programme supports academically deserving students who are pursuing tertiary studies in fields aligned with the energy industry.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain good academic performance throughout the period of study
  • Attend all lectures, practicals, and academic activities required by the institution
  • Submit academic results and progress reports to Shell when requested
  • Comply with all bursary programme rules and conditions
  • Represent Shell responsibly as a bursary recipient

Qualifications

  • You must be a South African citizen
  • You must be in financial need
  • You must have completed Matric
  • You must have achieved a minimum overall average of 75% in Matric
  • You must have achieved a minimum result of 75% in Pure Mathematics, Physical Sciences, and English in Matric
