The Vryheid Labour Centre is seeking a candidate with a strong background in Electrical Engineering, Matriculation/Graduation 12/Senior Certificate, and a 3 year recognized qualification. The candidate must have a valid driver's license and be knowledgeable about departmental policies, Occupational Health and Safety Act, Regulations (21), South African National Standards (Codes), Compensation for Occupational injuries and Diseases Act, and Unemployed Insurance Act. The job duties include planning and independently conducting inspections to ensure compliance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act, Act 85 of 1993, Regulations and incorporated Standards, and confirm registration with the Unemployment Insurance Act and the Compensation for Occupational Injuries and Diseases Act. The candidate will also plan, investigate, and finalize incidents and complaints related to the OHS Act and relevant regulations, enforce as necessary, appear in court as a State witness, plan proactive inspections, and conduct advocacy campaigns on labour legislation.
