Description

Canyon Coal is inviting students to apply for their bursary programme for the 2025 academic year, offering financial support for studies in mining-related fields, including Accounting, Environmental Science, Human Resources, and Mining Engineering. The bursary will cover full tuition, accommodation, and book allowances.

Responsibilities

• Participate in initiatives that support the local community within the host community of the Mskukaligwa Local Municipality
• Actively participate in training sessions and workshops organized by Canyon Coal to enhance skills and knowledge in the chosen field of study
• Submit regular reports on academic progress and participate in evaluations or surveys related to the bursary programme

Qualifications

• Must be a South African citizen
• Must be currently in Matric or have completed Matric
• Must be studying or planning to study towards a qualification in one of the listed fields of study in 2025
• Must be studying or planning to study at a South African university
• Current tertiary students must have an average of 65% or above in all major subjects
• Preference will be given to previously disadvantaged students in the Msukaligwa Local Municipality (Mpumalanga)
• Financial need and female or disabled students will be given preference
