LGSETA invites students to apply for their 2025 bursary programme, offering 650 bursaries under the Discretionary Grants Bursary 1st Funding Window. The bursaries are for undergraduate and postgraduate studies aligned with the local government sector. Fields of study covered include Accounting, Civil Engineering, Computer Science, Construction Management, Environmental Health, Financial Planning, and more.

Responsibilities

• Maintain full-time enrollment in one of the eligible fields of study
• Provide academic progress reports as required
• Comply with the terms and conditions of the bursary agreement

Qualifications

• South African citizen or permanent resident
• Currently in Matric or completed Matric
• Studying or planning to study full-time in an accredited qualification on the LGSETA bursary list
• Passed previous year's studies (if currently enrolled)
• Accepted or provisionally accepted at a recognised South African tertiary institution (University, University of Technology, or TVET Institution - NATED programmes)
• Must be unemployed
• Must not be receiving any other bursary funding (bursary will be withdrawn if another bursary is awarded)
