Description

Ithuba is offering multiple bursary opportunities for academically strong individuals seeking financial assistance for their 2025 academic year. This initiative aims to address socio-economic inequalities and provide education to young individuals from historically disadvantaged communities. The bursary program offers comprehensive coverage, including tuition fees, technology equipment, study materials, stationery, housing, and a stipend. High-performing Grade 12 students, as well as first and second-year tertiary students, are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Maintain excellent academic performance in their chosen fields of study
• Regularly submit progress reports and academic results to the bursary committee
• Represent Ithuba positively in academic and community engagements
• Participate in mentoring programs or initiatives, if provided
• Uphold the terms and conditions outlined in the bursary agreement

Qualifications

• Be under 23 years of age
• Achieve at least a 70% average aggregate score and a minimum of 70% in all subjects in the previous academic year
• Provide the following documents:
• Certified copy of your South African ID and copies of parent/guardian IDs
• Income verification of the legal guardian (not exceeding R350,000 per annum)
• Certified copy of the latest academic results
• Conditional admission letter from a South African tertiary institution
• Provisional admission letter from a residence hall or private accommodation of a South African tertiary institution
• A motivational letter explaining why you should be chosen for the bursary and how you plan to contribute to your community
